Yeshivah Prep High School is a unique academic environment that blends rigorous academics with a deep commitment to personalized education and whole-child development. We provide students with a comprehensive dual curriculum in Judaic and general studies. Our secular academic track is designed to prepare students for New York State Regents examinations and diploma requirements, with coursework that meets high academic standards.
What distinguishes our program is the intentional and adaptive way we deliver this curriculum. Every student receives a customized plan aligned with their individual learning needs and accommodations. Courses are modified or scaffolded to ensure access to rigorous content while maintaining comprehension and dignity. This ensures that every student has a viable path to graduation, mastery, and growth, even in subjects that may have historically challenged them.
Our approach to learning is interdisciplinary. Project-based learning is integrated throughout the curriculum: students might research the psychology of marketing across Business and English classes or apply statistical analysis to social trends they study in History. Teachers collaborate across departments to create units that are relevant and meaningful, fostering both academic skills and real-world applications. Whether it’s analyzing ethical dilemmas through Jewish philosophy or exploring anatomy alongside questions of medical ethics and halakha, students are constantly asked to reflect on the moral and human context of what they’re learning.
This holistic approach is grounded in Torah values, integrated thoughtfully into our secular subjects. In science and health, we consider halakhic perspectives on bioethics and environmental impacts. In literature and writing, we explore themes of justice, compassion, and leadership, often in conversation with Torah texts. We do not compartmentalize education; instead, we see every subject as a vehicle to explore identity, values, and purpose.
As students advance through high school, they also develop essential life skills, research, writing, critical thinking, and digital literacy, preparing them for life beyond YPHS. Our graduates pursue diverse pathways including higher education, continued religious study, workforce entry, and community engagement. We take great pride in cultivating graduates who are intellectually curious, socially capable, spiritually grounded, and deeply committed to making a positive impact on the world around them.

How we support students.
The occupational therapy department helps our students develop strategies for organization, focus, and self-regulation so they can participate more successfully in academic and social activities. They may also adapt the environment, provide assistive tools, and collaborate with teachers to support student’s independence and engagement in the classroom.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapists help students who struggle with language processing and reading comprehension improve executive functioning skills, critical receptive/expressive language abilities, and develop foundational literacy skills.
Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapy department will focus on improving any foundational sensory, fine/gross motor, visual perceptual, visual motor, and/or oculomotor challenges that may be interfering with a child’s academic function.
Counselling
Counselling services are provided to support students’ social-emotional learning. Children gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and learn tools to manage strong emotions and improve their interpersonal skills.

My name is David Dweck, and I am currently studying at Yeshivat Moresh Yerushalayim. High school played an essential role in helping me reach this stage, guiding me through challenges in the classroom and beyond.
